Build a goal-based plan for retirement, kids' education, marriage, house, or pure wealth creation — with inflation-adjusted SIP targets.

Which goal are you planning for?

Pick one and we’ll open a planner for it — target amount, timeline and the monthly SIP it needs, adjusted for inflation.

Wealth Creation Long-term investing without a specific target amount. No fixed date

Every planner accounts for inflation, so the target reflects what the goal will cost in that year — not today. Prefer to talk it through? Speak to an AMFI-registered distributor (ARN-145870).

A systematic financial plan ensures every rupee you invest is working toward a specific outcome. At Myfolios we use inflation-adjusted targets, meaning a goal of ₹50 lakhs today is projected forward at 6% inflation so you don't underfund your future dreams.

Financial Planning — Frequently Asked Questions

The most useful time to start is the month your first salary arrives, because the number of years your money stays invested is the single largest factor in compounding — larger than the amount you begin with. Starting later means a bigger monthly commitment for the same goal. If you are starting late, beginning now is still better than waiting for a higher income.

Goal-based investing means every objective gets its own plan — a child's education, a home down payment, retirement — each with its own target amount, its own timeline and a fund category suited to that horizon. When everything sits in one pool, it is impossible to tell which goal is falling behind. Keeping them separate makes the progress of each one visible.

Take what the goal costs today and grow it at an assumed inflation rate up to the year you will need the money. At around 6% inflation, costs roughly double every twelve years, so a target set at today's prices will fall well short. The planner on this page applies that adjustment for you so the target reflects future cost rather than current cost.

A widely used rule of thumb is twenty-five to thirty times your expected annual expenses in the year you retire, which gives you a starting figure to work with. It is only a starting point — your actual requirement depends on any pension income, health cover, how many years you are planning for and the lifestyle you expect.

Two or three goals at a time usually works; beyond that each one receives so little that none finishes on schedule. A sensible order is an emergency fund covering about six months of expenses first, then retirement, since it is the one goal you cannot borrow for, and then the rest. The AMFI-registered distributor behind Myfolios can help you set that order.
